Inside Team Sunn: EWS Round Three, Ireland
During the third stage of the EWS in Ireland, we followed Team SUNN during training and race days. Getting to know these guys who put so much energy into what they do, is really the best way to feel the passion and efforts that pump up the MTB world.
As far as the eye can see, green fields diving into the cold Irish sea.
Wicklow welcomed us in the best way, with an unconventional sunny weather making even pleasant cheering and racing in the dirt.
GETTING READY
Isa packing her stuff for the training day.

CLIMB
Transferring to stage five, but the path there was not completely flat…

On Stage 5 there was this tree laying down – a drop was calling and Thomas didn’t lose the chance!
Concentration is fundamental: the guys try several times the most difficult sections finding the best lines.
Steep rocky wall followed by a fast left corner: Thomas met his match!

“Eat pasta ride fasta”, carbs are always a good fuel for cyclists.
It’s a well-oiled machine: the support team does its best to support the two riders, both technically and logistically helping them out in any situation.
Isa and Thomas are smart and committed, they love what they do and work hard to reach their goals.
RACE DAY
The start of stage two was one of the best, from the top of the mountain, the view over landscape and fans was amazing.
THE FANS PIT
Even if you are there working and filming, you can still cheer the riders.
Always say hi to the media helicopter passing by.
